Authors of the article are Jennifer Coulson, the chair of the 30 Percent Club Canada Investor Group and the global head of ESG at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), and Kevin Thomas, the chief executive officer of SHARE, a leading Canadian shareholder advocacy organization.
The authors particularly point out that “Investor expectations, corporate laws and leading practices are evolving to include diversity beyond gender, to aim for increased participation in corporate leadership by people with disabilities and LGBTQ and racialized communities.” (emphasis added)
The LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors Canada Association looks forward to working with the investment industry and others in moving this agenda forward.
