Watermark, an international Search Firm, has published its 2023 Board Diversity Index and Report. This ninth annual edition is a comprehensive investigation of the ASX300 corporate organizations and their results on Board Diversity. The partners in the report include the Governance Institute of Australia.
The LGBTQ+ community is included in this survey. Of particular note in their summary is that “In Australia, ALBEI estimates between 10-15 people who identify as LGBTQ+ are currently on ASX200 boards, though we don’t have enough data to work with yet“. This is similar results to many other studies in this area, including Canada.
The LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors Canada Association is looking to fill this gap in statistical information by undertaking a research project with a respected academic institution.
