Arthur Lam

Arthur Lam is a trusted advisor and intrapreneur at global financial institutions and the federal government of Canada. He is currently a co-founder and partner with Nexus Strategic Consultants, and has been a growth coach for Communitech, Canada’s largest tech accelerator, advising growth companies on business strategy and government engagement.

He most recently was a senior advisor to two federal Ministers on innovation, business financing and international trade. In that capacity, he engaged with board chairs and management at federal financial institutions, crown agencies, and regulators on ministers’ behalf. He led recruitment panels with senior civil servants and board chairs through the public appointment process to ensure the appointments aligned with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals.

He has a 20-year track record of delivering results to shareholders and the public by leading innovation adoption, corporate growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships. He has generated win-win outcomes by collaborating with external stakeholders, partners, colleagues, and boards.

Arthur holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

He is an active community volunteer with over a decade of experience as a board member and advisor at not-for-profits in health, LGBTQ, environment, and education causes.
